Leila Wheib

(she/her)

Director

Leila is the Founder and Director of The Good Place Collective. She is passionate about supporting the development of high-quality Positive Behaviour Support practice and cultivating a collaborative community of independent Behaviour Support Practitioners grounded in integrity and committed to ethical, neuro-affirming and evidence-informed practice.

With over 20 years of experience working with young people and families, Leila has worked across positive behaviour support, private practice psychotherapy, family therapy and youth work. She has held leadership roles within community organisations and has overseen interdisciplinary teams and large community development programs. She has also worked internationally with people experiencing displacement and political violence.

Leila has a particular interest in integrating a family wellness lens within the PBS model. Her clinical work recognises that sustainable behaviour support extends beyond the individual. She supports families and multidisciplinary teams to build capable environments that reduce distress, strengthen relationships and improve quality of life for everyone involved.

Leila is a neurodivergent clinician with mixed Palestinian-Bedouin and Swiss identities. She strives to use social justice approaches when working with people who have lived experiences of exclusion, marginalisation and oppression. Palestinian cultural legacies shape her understanding of family, community and belonging. Her lived experiences contribute to her contemporary understanding of behaviour analysis, psychosocial wellness and quality of life. Leila is committed to lifelong learning through formal education and by listening to the people and communities she supports.

Leila is not currently accepting new Positive Behaviour Support referrals. She accepts a limited number of Positive Behaviour Support supervisees and consultation requests.
